Position Overview
The Receiving Supervisor is responsible for leading all inbound receiving operations to ensure product is received accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards. This role oversees the daily execution of the receiving team, partners with vendors and freight carriers, and ensures inventory is properly documented and entered into our systems. The ideal candidate is organized, hands-on, and a strong people leader who thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize, assign, and supervise daily activities of the receiving team to ensure timely and accurate processing of inbound freight
- Monitor execution, workflow, and productivity to ensure operational goals and service levels are met
- Lead, coach, and develop team members while reinforcing accountability, safety, and quality standards
- Coordinate with vendors and shipping carriers to schedule deliveries, manage discrepancies, and resolve inbound issues
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and shipping documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Ensure all received goods are properly entered into the Order Management System
- Maintain accurate receiving records and support inventory control and reconciliation efforts
- Utilize Excel to track receiving metrics, discrepancies, and operational performance
- Partner cross-functionally with Purchasing and Warehouse Leadership to support business needs
- Uphold company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines at all times
Required Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required; higher education or related certifications preferred
- Prior supervisory experience in a warehouse, distribution, or fulfillment environment preferred
- Experience working with Order Management Systems (OMS) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Knowledgeable and intuitive approach to managing inbound operations
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and collaboration
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs as required
- Hours: Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 5:00pm
- Ability to work flexible hours as business needs require
