Job Description
G&G Asphalt is hiring a dependable and hardworking Class A CDL Driver to join our growing asphalt and construction team. This position involves much more than simply driving — drivers are expected to help support field operations, maintain equipment, and assist crews when needed.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, shows up on time, and understands the fast-paced nature of asphalt and construction operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate Class A trucks safely and professionally
- Haul materials between:
- Quarries
- Asphalt plants
- Job sites
- Equipment yards
- Perform drop-and-hook trailer operations
- Secure and transport equipment safely
- Maintain a clean truck and clean dump box at all times
- Assist with labor duties when needed
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Work closely with dispatch, foremen, and crews to keep jobs moving efficiently
- Must be willing and able to travel out of town for projects in other cities
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Clean driving record preferred
- Ability to secure equipment and trailers properly
- Comfortable working around construction sites and heavy equipment
- Willingness to labor when needed
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Asphalt or construction experience preferred but not required
- Must be able to stay out of town when projects require travel
Pay & Benefits
- $25–$32/hour depending on experience
- Minimum guaranteed 40 hours/week from April through December 1st
- Overtime opportunities during peak season
- Per diem paid for out-of-town work
- Steady local and traveling work
- Opportunity to grow within the company
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- Some Saturdays during peak season
- Early morning starts are common
