Transportation Planner - Overnight Schedule

Summary

The Transportation Planner will serve as the main point of contact for drivers and customers and proactively monitor the key metric for On Time Performance to ensure the freight schedule is executed as planned. You will work in a fast paced, high pressure, constantly changing environment where you will be proactive based on load priorities as well as reactive when something beyond our control happens.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure integrity of data within the Transportation Management System (TMS)
• Monitor driver messaging system and enter data in real-time
• Provide prompt and timely resolution to driver and customer inquiries
• Coordinate and update external Customer systems
• Perform other duties as needed to reach operations goals

Qualifications:

• Preference for candidates with experience working in Transportation/Logistics Industry
• Have Excellent communication Skills
• Have a High School Diploma
• Are Proficient with computers
• Enjoy problem solving, puzzles and riddles
• Can “roll with the punches” and quickly solve issues as they occur
• Are incredibly dependable, others would say you can always be counted on and you enjoy working in a team environment
• Can hold yourself accountable for mistakes, pay high attention to detail and maintain organization in your work

Starting Pay Rate: $18.50 /HR
