Summary:
The Assembler I position is responsible for building various sub components that will later be incorporated into a larger product by our customer. This position prints and uses standard work orders. The Assembler I will be required on a daily basis to use hand held and air powered tools. Additionally this person will move material throughout the station with the use of a lift and overhead crane as well as a sit down forklift. This position will be on their feet for most of the day. The Assembler I is responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work area.
Primary Job Duties:
- Assemble various sub components together to produce an assembled module.
- Use tape measures, hand tools, air tools and specialized tooling.
- Interpret work order prints and drawings at a basic level.
- Understand and follows all ISO and 5S initiatives
- Operate a sit down forklift.
Qualifications:
- Must have high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- Must be mechanically inclined and have basic knowledge / experience using impact gun, torque tools and hoist
- Blueprint / Schematic reading and interpretation experience requirement
- At least 1 year of past assembly experience required
- At least 1 year of experience working in a related environment
- Must be able to safely operate a sit-down forklift to accomplish basic elements of the job
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to:
- Stand; walk; handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch;
- Required to stand for extended periods of time,
- Occasionally required sit,
- Lift heavy objects up to 35 pounds on a regular basis,
- Vision requirements include close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); distant vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); ability to focus (ability to adjust eyes to bring an object into sharp focus).
- Manual dexterity sufficient to reach and handle items.

- Pay Range: $17 - $19 / hour
