Lead Painter
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Painter to oversee and execute painting projects on construction sites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying coatings, and ensuring high-quality finishes while adhering to safety protocols. This role involves maintaining efficient workflow from start to finish. Painter will work Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, focusing on flooring construction prep work, painting, and cleanup.
Duties
- painting projects, ensuring timely and quality completion
- Prepare surfaces for painting through sanding, scraping, and surface cleaning
- Use various painting tools including brushes, rollers, paint sprayers, and power tools
- Apply coatings using brush, roller, or spray techniques to achieve desired finishes
- Operate ladders safely to access high or hard-to-reach areas
- Conduct construction surface preparation prior to painting applications
- Perform flooring construction prep work as needed for painting projects
- Maintain a clean work environment by managing cleanup activities after each project
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for the team and site personnel
Experience
- Proven experience in construction painting or related field with a strong understanding of surface preparation and coating application
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers, rollers, and brushes
- Ability to operate ladders safely and efficiently in various work conditions
- Experience with safety procedures relevant to construction and painting environments
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
