Job Overview:
The SAP Basis and MII Support Consultant will be responsible for ensuring the stability and performance of SAP systems with a strong focus on SAP Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence (MII) & Oracle Database administration.
Hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration, SAP MII, and working with Oracle Database, ensuring seamless integration between SAP ERP, shop floor operations & underlying database systems.
Key Responsibilities:
SAP Basis:
Install, configure & maintain SAP environments (ECC, S/4HANA, NetWeaver, Solution Manager, etc.)
Monitoring, tuning & troubleshooting to maintain high system availability.
System upgrades, patching & kernel upgrades for SAP systems.
Manage & administer SAP Oracle DB
Perform regular DB health checks and ensure timely backups and recovery strategies
Manage SAP transport management, perform system refreshes & migrations.
Handle SAP security & authorizations, managing user roles and profiles
Ensure system compliance with SAP best practices, Oracle security standards, and industry regulations
Oracle DB Administration:
Install, configure, and maintain Oracle DBs used within the SAP landscape
Monitor & optimize Oracle DB performance
DB backups, restore & recovery processes to ensure data integrity
Implement Oracle DB patches, upgrades & troubleshooting
DB migrations & cloning to support system refresh and DR activities
SAP MII:
Provide support for SAP MII systems, including configuration, customization, & integration with SAP ERP & shop floor devices
Develop & Integration of SAP MII dashboards,KPIs to enhance real-time production visibility and control
Maintain & update SAP MII solutions, ensuring stable integration with Oracle DB
Support & Incident Management:
Provide technical support for SAP Basis, MII & Oracle DB-related issues
Work with business users, functional teams & developers to resolve incidents and optimize performance
Manage incidents and requests according to ITIL standards, ensuring adherence to SLAs
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field
SAP Basis and/or MII, Oracle DBA certification
Management & administration in SAP MII, MES,Shop floor systems.
Experience with SAP HANA (optional) and database migrations between Oracle and other DBs (if applicable)
Strong understanding of SAP system architecture, NetWeaver, and Oracle Database internals
Proficiency with SAP transport management systems (CTS )&troubleshooting tools
Knowledge of SAP security, roles, and authorization management.
Understanding of ITIL-based service management (incident, problem, and change management)
Familiarity with manufacturing processes, automation systems, and real-time data monitoring
