Workplace Interiors & Building Repositioning
ABOUT THE ROLE A mid-level, bridge role in the studio — advanced enough to take ownership of significant project tasks independently, while still receiving mentorship from senior staff. This position contributes both creatively and technically across workplace and repositioning projects, with opportunities to grow client interaction skills and develop specialized expertise in workplace strategy and adaptive reuse.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design Development
– Translate workplace strategy and client goals into functional design solutions
– Develop test fits, space plans, and design concepts
– Research and select materials, finishes, furniture, and fixtures
– Produce renderings and presentation boards for client reviews
Documentation & Technical
– Develop and maintain Revit models and drawing sets across all phases
– Prepare finish schedules and FF&E specifications
– Coordinate design details with senior technical staff
– Ensure documentation meets code, accessibility, and permitting requirements
Project Coordination
– Collaborate with consultants (MEP, lighting, furniture vendors, contractors)
– Attend and document client meetings, workshops, and site visits
QUALIFICATIONS
– Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field
– 5 years of professional experience in commercial interior design or architecture
– Experience with workplace interiors and/or building repositioning projects preferred – Strong working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Enscape, and Microsoft Office Suite.
– Ability to work independently on project tasks while collaborating with senior staff
