G.A. Rogers & Associates is working with a client in Irving, Texas that is seeking an experienced Sales & Use Tax Accountant to join their accounting team.
This role will focus on ensuring compliance with state and local sales and use tax regulations, preparing filings and supporting audits.

Responsibilities
- Review and file monthly and quarterly sales and use tax returns across multiple jurisdictions
- Review transactions to ensure proper tax treatment and compliance
- Reconcile sales tax accounts and maintain accurate supporting documentation
- Assist with sales and use tax audits, including gathering data and responding to inquiries
- Monitor changes in tax laws and recommend process improvements as needed
- Collaborate with Accounts Payable and other departments to resolve tax-related issues
- Support general accounting functions and special projects as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 3 years of experience in sales and use tax accounting or related tax compliance work
- Strong understanding of multi-state sales tax regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems/ERP software
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to travel ~2-3 times a year domestically
Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
