What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Clerk-Forklift/Material Handling Equipment position at G.A.F. EQUIPMENT, INC.?
G.A.F. Equipment is a small forklift dealer in Hialeah, and we're looking for an experienced parts clerk to join our team. This is not an entry level position. We need someone who already knows forklift or heavy equipment parts and can hit the ground running, keeping our service department supplied and taking care of our oner-the-counter customers.
What you'll do
- look up, source, and order parts for our service tectnicians.
- help walk-in and phone customers
- work with parts vendors and suppliers on pricing, availability and delivery
- receive, stock, and organize inventory to maintain accurate counts
- process parts invoices, returns, cores and warranty items
- prepare quotes and follow up with customers on orders
What we're looking for
- prior parts experience in the forklift/material handling industry
- comfortable identifying parts from serial numbers, parts manual, and online catalogs across multiple makes and models and have basic computer skills
- strong customer service skills, organized, dependable
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
