Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Aide to join our team. In this role, you will assist physical therapists in providing high-quality patient care to individuals recovering from injuries or surgeries. You will play a vital role in enhancing the patient experience and supporting their rehabilitation journey. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology, along with excellent patient service skills.
Duties
- Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients.
- Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions.
- Help patients with exercises and mobility tasks under the supervision of a therapist.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic environment.
- Document patient progress and report any changes to the supervising therapist.
- Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and activities.
- Support administrative tasks as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
- Able to visit local physician offices to drop marketing material and communicate with office manager for proper business listing.
- Implement new marketing strategies to improve client retention and growth of the business.
- Assist with patient flow within the facility as per the direction of the Physical Therapist, Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology is essential.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to physical therapy.
- Experience in patient care, particularly in orthopedics or geriatrics, is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in an outpatient clinic setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient service.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to various therapeutic techniques.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with assisting patients during therapy sessions.
