Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive pelvic health evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Treat patients experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction, including urinary and fecal incontinence, pelvic pain, prolapse, pregnancy and postpartum conditions, sexual dysfunction, constipation, diastasis recti, and related diagnoses.
- Utilize evidence-based manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, patient education, and behavioral strategies.
- Educate patients on anatomy, body mechanics, self-management techniques, and home exercise programs.
- Collaborate with referring physicians and healthcare providers regarding patient progress and plan of care.
- Complete timely and compliant documentation, including evaluations, daily notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries.
- Maintain patient schedules and promote adherence to treatment plans to optimize outcomes.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education activities.
- Support clinic growth through relationship-building with referral sources and community education opportunities.
- Maintain the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct while adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Current Indiana Physical Therapist license (or ability to obtain)
- Specialized training in pelvic health/pelvic floor rehabilitation
- Experience treating pelvic floor dysfunction in an outpatient setting preferred
- Strong manual therapy and patient communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and exceptional patient care
- Desire to grow and expand pelvic health services within the community
- 1 years of pelvic health clinical experience.
- Completion of pelvic floor continuing education coursework through APTA, Herman & Wallace, Evidence in Motion, or equivalent programs.
- Experience treating prenatal and postpartum populations.
- Desire to learn Vestibular (it is in our name!)
- Dry needling certification or additional specialty certifications are a plus.
