Role Description
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Full-Time Physical Therapist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat patients with a variety of physical conditions that affect their ability to move, function, and engage in daily activities. Your work will have a direct impact on improving the quality of life for individuals recovering from injuries, surgeries, or managing chronic conditions. The ideal candidate will be patient-centered, highly motivated, and committed to providing exceptional care in a supportive, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and Diagnose: Conduct thorough evaluations of patients’ physical conditions, medical histories, and lifestyle factors to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Treatment Planning: Design and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, strength, balance, and overall physical function.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Provide manual therapy, exercise regimens, modalities (e.g., heat, cold, ultrasound), and other techniques to alleviate pain and promote recovery.
- Patient Education: Educate patients on injury prevention, proper posture, ergonomics, and at-home exercise routines to promote long-term health and wellness.
- Progress Monitoring: Track patient progress, modify treatment plans as needed, and document treatment outcomes in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care for patients.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and timely patient records in accordance with state and federal regulations, including progress notes, treatment plans, and insurance documentation.
- Continuing Education: Stay current with advances in physical therapy techniques, clinical practices, and industry regulations through ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
Education: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
Licensure: Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist
Experience: Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred, but new graduates with strong academic training will be considered.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Detail-oriented with excellent documentation skills.
- Patient-centered approach with a passion for improving the lives of others.
- Ability to handle a diverse caseload of patients with varying physical needs.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Certification in specialized areas like orthopedics or neurology is a plus
Preferred
Board certification in a specialized area of physical therapy (e.g., orthopedics, neurology, pediatrics).
Experience working with a broad range of patients, including those recovering from surgery, sports injuries, and managing chronic conditions.
Bilingual (optional, based on patient demographics).
