About Fynancial

Fynancial is a leading mobile SaaS platform built for modern wealth management firms. Our white-labeled platform helps financial advisors deliver a personalized, mobile-first client experience through integrated financial data, direct messaging, content, action items, notifications, documents, and digital workflows.

We work with large RIAs and enterprise wealth management organizations and integrate with the technology platforms they already rely on across CRM, portfolio management, financial planning, compliance, communications, and other critical systems.

We’re building the infrastructure that connects these systems to the digital experiences advisors and their clients use every day.

The Role

We’re looking for a Technical Program Manager to turn Fynancial’s product vision into well-defined, development-ready work.

You’ll work directly with the Chief Product Officer, who sets product direction, and alongside Engineering, Design, and the Business Analyst to break that direction down into epics, user stories, and tasks that engineers can pick up and build without ambiguity.

This role is for someone who thrives on structure, process, and detail. You’ll own the health of the Jira backlog, run refinement, and make sure every sprint starts with work that is clearly scoped, sequenced, and ready.

We don’t need someone to set product strategy. We need someone who can take a clear vision, make it buildable, and keep it moving through delivery.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner closely with the CPO to understand the product vision, priorities, and intended outcome of each initiative.
  • Decompose initiatives into epics, user stories, and tasks that are right-sized for development.
  • Write clear user stories with detailed acceptance criteria, edge cases, and non-functional requirements.
  • Maintain a deep, fully groomed Jira backlog so Engineering always has multiple sprints of ready work.
  • Lead backlog refinement sessions with Engineering and Design, and resolve open questions before work enters a sprint.
  • Identify and map dependencies, sequencing, and technical risks across teams, systems, and integrations.
  • Work with engineers to understand API, data, and integration details well enough to specify them precisely.
  • Partner with the Business Analyst to document workflows, business rules, and data requirements.
  • Coordinate with Design to ensure designs are complete and linked to stories before development begins.
  • Support sprint planning and track delivery progress, flagging blockers and scope risks early.
  • Keep stakeholders informed with clear, consistent status reporting on initiatives and releases.
  • Coordinate release readiness across Engineering, QA, Customer Success, and Support.
  • Establish and continuously improve standards for story writing, Definition of Ready, and Definition of Done.
  • Bring questions about intent or priority to the CPO quickly rather than letting ambiguity stall work.
  • What We’re Looking For
  • 4 years of experience as a Technical Program Manager, Product Owner, Technical Product Manager, or Business Analyst on software products.
  • Proven ability to break large, complex initiatives into well-scoped, buildable work.
  • Expert-level experience with Jira and Agile/Scrum delivery practices.
  • Exceptional written communication, especially in user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications.
  • Strong understanding of APIs, integrations, data models, and modern software architecture.
  • Comfortable reading API documentation, reviewing data flows, and discussing technical tradeoffs with engineers.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with persistence in closing open questions.
  • Ability to execute faithfully against a product vision while raising concerns and tradeoffs constructively.
  • Experience in B2B SaaS environments.
  • Experience operating in a fast-growing company where priorities evolve quickly.

Preferred Experience

Experience in one or more of the following is highly valuable:

  • Wealth management or financial technology
  • Enterprise SaaS
  • Salesforce or CRM platforms
  • Portfolio management systems
  • API-first products and integrations
  • Mobile and web applications
  • Regulated industries
  • B2B2C products
  • Agile certification (CSPO, CSM, PMI-ACP, or similar)
  • Confluence or similar documentation tools

What Success Looks Like

Within your first 90 days, you’ll understand Fynancial’s platform, integrations, and roadmap well enough to translate new initiatives into development-ready work with minimal back-and-forth.

Within six months, Engineering will consistently have multiple sprints of fully groomed backlog ready, and work entering development will have clear requirements, acceptance criteria, and resolved dependencies.

Most importantly, you’ll make sure the product vision gets built the way it was intended: accurately, predictably, and without Engineering waiting on clarity.

Success means a healthy, well-ordered backlog, fewer mid-sprint surprises, smoother sprint planning, and faster, more predictable delivery.
