Optometrist

Full-Time Optometrist Opportunity – FYidoctors Canoga Park, LA.

FYidoctors is seeking a full-time Optometrist to join our growing clinic, backfilling for a long-standing OD who will be retiring in April 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a busy, well-established practice with an existing patient base, strong team support, and the potential to grow into a future leadership role within the clinic.

Our clinic became part of the FYidoctors network in May 2022 and has continued to grow steadily. We currently have 2 Optometrists and 5 support staff, with dedicated roles across dispensing and front-of-house. The incoming OD will work Tuesday through Saturday, have their own exam lane (with access to multiple lanes when needed), and can expect to see 14–16 patients per day.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye exams and vision assessments
• Diagnose and manage ocular conditions, including contact lenses and some low vision care
• Provide prescriptions and treatment plans while collaborating effectively with staff
• Maintain accurate patient records in our electronic health system
• Deliver care to a varied patient base, including a strong Medicaid population

Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited institution
• Active California Optometry License (Medicaid credentialing preferred)
• 1–2 years of clinical experience
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
• Spanish language skills helpful, but not required

Schedule & Compensation

• Full-time, Tuesday through Saturday
• 14–16 patients per day
• Competitive compensation starting at $500/day production bonus
