Technician Responsibilities:

• Complete service and repair assignments efficiently, safely, and correctly.
• Comply with company safety policies and procedures.
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques.
• Work and communicate with foreman on vehicle repair status.
• Participate in all required safety meetings.
• When applicable, direct the work of an apprentice in the performance of tasks when needed, i.e., unusual problems or questions and explain procedures to assistant.
• Repair vehicles to factory standards.
• Be able to use OEM software to diagnose problems.
• Repair light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Keep track of warranty parts and turn in required parts for return to the manufacturer.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with employees and foremen.
• Complete knowledge of in-house business systems and with business partner platforms.
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining composure and a positive attitude.

Technician Qualifications:

• Team oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.
• Working knowledge of shop equipment.
• Basic Heavy and Medium Duty Truck knowledge.
• Maintain sufficient personally owned tools.
• Ability to work independently.
• Detail oriented and quality driven.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check, physical exam, and drug screen.

Experience in one or all of the following areas:

• 2 Year’s Experience
• Tech School Certification
• Vo-Tech Graduate

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
