What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Manager position at FYDA FREIGHTLINER GROUP?
Warehouse Manager: The Logistics Legend đźš›
Location:Â Youngstown, OH | Department: Parts Operations
The Mission
Are you a master of organization with an eagle eye for detail? We’re looking for an Inventory Control & Warehouse Lead to be the heartbeat of our parts department. You won’t just move boxes; you’ll be the architect of our inventory flow, ensuring every part is accounted for, every bin is optimized, and every shipment is seamless.
If you find "missing inventory" to be a challenge you can't wait to solve and believe a clean warehouse is a productive warehouse, we want you on our team.
What You’ll Do (The Essentials)
-
Master of the Count: Lead the charge on cycle and annual counts. You’ll maintain a perpetual "bin-maintenance" system so we always know exactly what we have and where it lives.
-
Warehouse Architect: Oversee the parts warehouse layout. You’ll constantly look for ways to improve organization and flow, making "will call" and stock retrieval faster than ever.
-
Inventory Detective: Investigate discrepancies, track vendor billings, and monitor credits/claims to ensure our numbers are airtight.
-
Shipping & Receiving General: Oversee all incoming and outgoing gear. From check-ins to posting and shipping, you make sure the right parts get to the right places.
-
The Return Pro: Handle the full PAR return lifecycle—inputting, labeling, boxing, and shipping—while managing general returns with the Parts Manager.
-
Keep it Sharp: Direct housekeeping practices to ensure the warehouse and shipping areas stay professional, safe, and organized.
What You Bring to the Table
-
Precision: You don't just "close enough" your numbers; you strive for 100% accuracy.
-
Leadership: You can direct a team through physical inventory counts with ease.
-
Efficiency Mindset: You are always thinking two steps ahead on how to move a part from point A to point B more effectively.
-
Tech Savvy: Comfortable processing returns and stock data in our inventory management systems.
Why Join Us?
Join a team where your organizational skills directly impact the bottom line. We value proactive problem solvers who take pride in "owning" their space.
