Responsibilities:
Operate lift truck and load and unload trailers safely
Read, understand, and comprehend orders and written communication
Accurately and legibly complete required paperwork
Manually load and stack product from floor level to above head -25 lbs
Cut fiber/foam on saw, bag and transport product using various means ie. carry, push/pull - Use hand scanner as part of the ATS inventory system - Inspect product for defects, and plan the cutting process to obtain maximum yield. - Set machine settings, make blade adjustments, and operate cutting equipment from consoles - Check dimensions of material for conformance to specifications - Take responsibility for and keep abreast of all changes in product and process. - Know how to check for quality problems and where to find the answers. - Promote and support an environment of cooperation. - Be flexible in job assignments and take direction from multiple supervision and leaders. - Work independently under general direction to set priorities, manage workload, meet deadlines, and accomplish goals even under changing deadlines and with multiple interruptions in order to achieve the highest productivity. - Sufficient endurance is required to perform the tasks assigned over long periods of time ie. 12 hours/day and 6 days/wk - Help encourage and maintain good housekeeping, sweeping, emptying trash, etc. - Assist production supervision as required. Qualifiations: - Push/pull carts weighing up to 400 lbs. - Forklift experience desired or must be trainable - Communicate in English, legibly and effectively in writing. Understand written sentences and - paragraphs in work related documents - High School diploma or GED - Prior manufacturing experience a plus Pass post offer drug screen.
