Position Overview
As a Shipping Assistant, you will help prepare outgoing shipments, organize inventory, coordinate deliveries, and ensure orders are packed accurately and shipped on time. You will work closely with warehouse and operations team members to keep the shipping process running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Prepare products and packages for shipment.
- Verify outgoing orders for accuracy and completeness.
- Label packages and create shipping documentation.
- Assist with receiving incoming deliveries when needed.
- Organize shipping supplies and inventory.
- Coordinate with carriers for scheduled pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain accurate shipping records using company systems.
- Inspect packages to ensure quality and proper packaging.
- Keep shipping and storage areas clean and organized.
- Follow all company safety procedures and operational guidelines.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehousing, logistics, fulfillment, inventory, packaging, retail, manufacturing, or customer service is helpful but not required.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to lift and move packages safely throughout the workday.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn.
