The Senior Accountant – Real Estate, will assist in the timely and accurate financial reporting of the real estate companies on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis for all real estate entities. This position will interact regularly with the Accounting Department, Controller, tenants, lenders and ownership. Successful candidate will have the flexibility and time management skills to handle changing priorities while assisting with concurrent projects and deadlines.

Principal Responsibilities
- Perform regular monthly accounting functions including analysis of accounts or accounting transactions, accruals, and reconciliations
- Assist with preparing timely and accurate monthly financial statement package for all companies
- Prepare monthly invoicing for rent, utilities, insurance, taxes and CAM fees
- Communicate with tenants for the timely receipt of accounts receivable
- Research, analyze and effectively communicate basic accounting issues and escalate appropriately
- Respond to internal and external client requests in a timely manner
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA a plus.
- Minimum of two years of experience, real estate accounting experience considered a plus.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment
- Experience working in a multi-company environment.Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Able to communicate with staff and ownership.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, experience with Real Page or Yardi, a plus.
