Co-Founder/Operating Partner (Business Development & Marketing)
Pickleball is poised to become the premier upscale indoor pickleball destination in the Geneva and St. Charles area. We are building a high-end facility that combines top-tier athletic courts with a refined social atmosphere. We are seeking a strategic Co-Founder to join the leadership team and take ownership of the brand’s market presence and capital growth. A strong foundation in the hospitality industry is helpful.
Core Responsibilities
- Strategic Branding & Marketing: Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive brand identity that reflects an "upscale" experience. Manage all digital marketing, community outreach, and pre-launch membership campaigns.
- Investor Relations & Fundraising: Utilize existing networks to identify and engage potential investor streams. Lead pitching efforts to secure the necessary capital for facility development and scaling.
- Strategic Partnerships: Establish relationships with local businesses, sports equipment brands, and community leaders to integrate Fox Valley Pickleball into the regional ecosystem.
- Operational Strategy: Collaborate on the long-term roadmap for the facility, including membership tiers, event programming, and tournament structures.
Ideal Qualifications
- Proven Sports Industry Background: Deep understanding of the business of sports, facility management, or athletic club operations.
- Marketing & Branding Expertise: A track record of building and scaling premium brands, preferably in the lifestyle, hospitality, or fitness sectors.
- Established Investor Network: Proven ability to navigate capital raises, manage equity discussions, and maintain transparent investor relations.
- Local Connection: Ideally based in or deeply familiar with the Fox Valley / Geneva / St. Charles market and its demographics.
