Salary Range: $50,000.00 To $65,000.00 Annually

Job Summary
We are seeking a tenacious, tech-savvy Business Acquisition Specialist to drive commercial lending growth within the Maryland, Washington DC and Virginia markets. This role targets small businesses with annual revenue under $10,000,000, offering fast-tracked business loans up to $500,000 to be funded within 48 hours. We welcome successful sales professionals from outside the traditional banking industry. We are looking for individuals who can bring fresh perspectives, grit, and innovative networking skills to our team. You must be a driven self-starter who thrives on independence and takes complete ownership of your territory. You must possess an unshakeable resilience to rejection, a highly relatable personality, and a disciplined follow-up system. You will leverage video conferencing for high-velocity digital sales, while traveling for critical face-to-face meetings.
Essential Job Functions
- Drive Full-Relationship Sales: Introduce business owners to our automated lending platform while successfully moving their primary deposit accounts away from incumbent banks.
- Onboard Clients to the Platform: Guide applicants through a simple, tech-driven process where they submit an online application and upload financial statements for rapid funding.
- Master High-Tech Prospecting: Utilize social media platforms, digital networking, and modern software to hunt for successful business owners needing fast capital.
- Execute Hybrid Selling: Conduct high-volume weekly meetings via Zoom/Teams alongside targeted, strategic in-person site visits.
- Collaborative Pipeline Management: Maintain a transparent tracking system for all leads to ensure consistent, timely follow-up. Utilize Sageworks (by Abrigo) and shared organizational tools to allow for seamless pipeline reviews with management.
- Maintain Relentless Follow-Up: Run consistent multi-touch communication cadences to nurture cold prospects into active clients.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Finance or related field, or equivalent sales experience
- Two plus years of successful B2B sales experience (outside traditional banking)
- Highly skilled in social media sourcing, video conferencing platforms, and general business software
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to travel between northern Baltimore, MD, and Fredericksburg, VA with occasional travel to Virginia Beach
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
