About the Company

Our client is a top-tier venture incubator that builds and backs early-stage companies from day zero. Their model blends capital, hands-on operating expertise, and deep technical capability to dramatically increase the odds of creating breakout category winners.

They work with exceptional founders to turn complex zero-to-one ideas into scalable products, deploying shared infrastructure, AI tooling, and engineering leadership across a growing portfolio.

They are now hiring a CTO to serve as the senior-most technical leader across the entire incubator, shaping product strategy, building foundational systems, and driving engineering excellence across multiple ventures simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the unified technology strategy across the incubator’s portfolio
• Partner closely with founders on product direction, architecture decisions, and early technical hiring
• Architect shared data infrastructure, internal tools, and reusable systems leveraged across operating companies
• Lead development of AI agents, automation workflows, and vertical-specific AI products for real business applications
• Build and scale a cross-functional engineering organisation spanning software, AI/ML, data, and product
• Provide hands-on technical leadership while also operating at an executive level
• Drive standards for reliability, security, and execution excellence across all ventures

Requirements

• 7 years of experience with 4-5 leading teams
• Proven track record shipping real products — zero-to-one and scaling to significant usage
• Strong background in software architecture, distributed systems, and/or data platforms
• Practical experience building AI/ML or LLM-driven systems (agents, automation, decisioning workflows)
• Ability to recruit and inspire high-calibre technical talent
