SOC Analyst I

## Job Description

We are seeking a **SOC Analyst I** to provide onsite monitoring and response support for mission-critical communication sites and information systems. The selected candidate will monitor security alerts, analyze technical data, document incidents, and escalate potential security or network issues according to established procedures.

This position requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Security Operations Center environment.

## Responsibilities

* Proactively monitor mission-critical communication sites, networks, and information systems.
* Review, classify, prioritize, and escalate security and operational alerts.
* Follow established procedures for data collection, triage, analysis, classification, and escalation.
* Capture, document, respond to, and escalate events received through email, chat, voice, monitoring platforms, and other systems.
* Analyze technical data to distinguish legitimate incidents from false-positive alerts.
* Maintain accurate incident records, activity logs, escalation notes, and supporting documentation.
* Assist with network and cybersecurity incident response and resolution activities.
* Communicate incident findings and recommended response actions clearly to team members and stakeholders.
* Collaborate with team members to improve SOC playbooks, dashboards, metrics, procedures, and detection strategies.
* Support shift transitions by providing clear and complete incident handoff information.
* Meet established response-time, documentation, and triage-accuracy standards.

* Ability to work full-time and onsite in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
* Ability to attend an in-person interview in Harrisburg.
* Ability to complete and pass an enhanced background check.

## Preferred Qualifications

* One to three years of experience working in a Security Operations Center.
* Experience monitoring cybersecurity, network, infrastructure, or information-system alerts.
* Familiarity with incident triage, alert classification, escalation, and documentation.
* Experience using SIEM platforms, ticketing systems, monitoring dashboards, or related security tools.
* Basic knowledge of cybersecurity threats, network security, incident response, and false-positive analysis.
