The Manager of Touring at Futureshirts plays a pivotal role in ensuring the Touring Department operates smoothly, efficiently, and effectively. Collaborating with the Director of Touring, fellow Managers of Touring (MTs), and Tour Department staff, the Manager of Touring is responsible for building and maintaining successful events, tours, and activations. This role involves overseeing the day-to-day management of tours to deliver a seamless 360° merchandise experience for clients, teammates, and event patrons.
A Manager of Touring must be a critical thinker, proficient operator, and adept multi-tasker who can handle emergencies with care, consideration, and urgency. They understand the demands of working beyond standard business hours and appreciate the complexities of the live entertainment industry. The primary goal is to ALWAYS DELIVER for all live events, focusing on accountability, kindness, and passion for merchandise to delight clients and turn them into champions of Futureshirts.
General Duties:
- Manage and assist with all touring events to ensure a full-service experience for Futureshirts clients.
- Handle tour forecasting and inventory
- Oversee touring road staff and maintain daily action plans.
- Maintain proper road accounting with touring staff for assigned tours.
- Occasionally travel to live events.
- Collaborate with teams and clients to launch and operate tours successfully.
- Work with account managers, creative, and production teams in the product development process.
- Ensure on-site presentation standards are met at all events.
- Manage tour customer service situations as needed.
- Maintain a passion for trend knowledge, history, and future trends.
- Deliver products to clients locally if necessary.
- Hire local vendors, adjust merchandise contracts if negotiable, and invite venues or artists to sell.
- Retrieve settlements and cash from venues and road managers.
- Train representatives to follow Futureshirts operations and regulations.
- Maintain appropriate inventory flow for all assigned tours.
- Assist the Director of Touring as needed.
Client Management:
- Treat clients like family.
- Offer trend knowledge and assist in product line development alongside teams.
- Regularly meet with the full-service team and clients to ensure needs are being met.
- Evaluate, update, and streamline the tour process for clients, making it easy for them.

- 3 years of experience in touring merchandise as well as inventory management.

- Knowledge of AtVenu digital warehousing, reports, and settlements.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced work environment requiring strong multitasking, time management, and organizational skills with high attention to detail and follow-up.
