This is a full-time, on-site position based in Corona, CA and Long Beach, CA. The Sports Performance Coordinator will be required to split time at both locations.

Job Overview: The Sports Performance Coordinator is responsible for leading and managing the performance coaching team, ensuring the effective implementation of training programs designed by the Director of Sports Performance. This role oversees staff development, conducts performance reviews, manages training schedules, and ensures accurate data collection and reporting. In addition to training and management responsibilities, the Coordinator provides ongoing education for coaches, leads strength, speed, and mobility sessions, and facilitates data-driven development meetings with athletes and parents. The role also includes coverage duties for coaching absences and supporting events. Strong leadership, communication, and expertise in advanced training methodologies are essential to fostering a high-performance environment for baseball and softball athletes. This position operates in a dynamic training environment and requires a hands-on coaching approach to optimize athlete development while delivering clear and concise instructions to ensure athlete safety in the facility.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and hold accountable the performance team
- Conduct department and 1-on-1 meetings
- Perform staff performance reviews
- Manage scheduling of training programs and staff coverage
- Implement training programs based on Director’s structure
- Provide ongoing education for coaches
- Ensure accurate reporting and data capture
- Conduct data & development meetings with athletes and parents
- Maintain facility cleanliness and equipment
- Lead strength, speed, and mobility sessions
- Build positive relationships with athletes, parents, and staff
- Coach sessions as needed based on departmental needs
- Cover coaching sessions when other coaches are out or if a coach resigns
- Attend Friday or Saturday events as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
- Former collegiate or professional coaching experience (Preferred)
- Former collegiate or professional playing experience (Preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in sports performance coaching
Tech Skills and Programs:
- Athlete Management Software - Teambuildr
- Performance testing equipment - Keiser, Vald, Vitruve
- Scheduling software - Wellnessliving
- Familiarity with programming and content software, such as Google Workspace Apps and Canva.com (Preferred)
Proposed Schedule (One of the Following):
- Four 10-hour shifts, Monday–Thursday (8:30 AM – 8:30 PM)
- In addition, five (5) additional hours per week, on Friday or Saturday, based on employee preference and operational needs
- Friday and Saturday Events as needed
Compensation:
$75-$80k, plus comprehensive benefits including health insurance and paid time off
