Residential Overnight Behavioral Support Staff (Per Diem)
Location: Rosewood Residential Program – Berlin, CT
Schedule: Temporary Overnight Hours Available – Friday & Saturday (8:00 PM–8:00 AM), 24 hours/week
Compensation: $21.00 per hour
Employment Type: Per Diem, Non-Exempt
Position Overview
We are seeking a dependableand experienced Residential Overnight Behavioral Support Staff to provide 1:1 behavioral and emotional support to a designated individual in a residential setting.
This role focuses on implementing structured Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) to promote emotional regulation, positive behavior development, and increased independence.
The ideal candidate is confident working overnight hours, able to remain composed in high-stress situations, and committed to maintaining consistency and professionalism in behavioral support implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct one-on-one behavioral and emotional support
Implement individualized Behavior Support Plans and Behavior Intervention Plans
Support development of coping skills, communication skills, and daily living skills
Assist with self-care planning and personal goal development
Support social engagement and community integration goals
De-escalate behavioral crises using approved intervention techniques
Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and agency policies
Collect, document, and report accurate behavioral data, progress notes, and incident reports
Attend required supervision sessions, team meetings, and trainings
Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive overnight environment
Required Qualifications
Must be able to work overnight shifts (8PM–8AM)
Must be available to work every other Saturday
High school diploma or GED required
Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder, emotional disturbances, developmental disabilities, or behavioral health challenges
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to remain calm, professional, and consistent in high-stress situations
Ability to pass background checks and required screenings
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Flexible and dependable schedule
