Commercial Litigation Attorney- Full-Time
Location: West Palm Beach , FL, 33407
What you will be doing:
- Prepare and respond to discovery, draft and argue motions, and prepare for mediations and trial.
- Draft pleadings and related documents for state and federal litigation and arbitration.
- Manage litigation and litigation strategy from inception through discovery and trial.
- Advise clients on legal risks and compliance in litigation and commercial transactions.
- Prepare for and attend mediation and negotiate resolutions of legal disputes.
- Work with the court, other attorneys, and offices of opposing counsel professionally.
Experience you will need:
- Must be admitted to practice in Florida.
- 5-10 years of experience in commercial litigation.
- Experience in taking and defending depositions.
- Have practiced in one or more areas of civil litigation, such as real estate, contract, or construction.
- Ability to write effectively, think strategically and critically.
- High level of detail-orientation and exceptional writing and proofreading skills.
- Working knowledge of the processes of State and Federal litigation including e‐filing, trial procedures, discovery and document production.
- Law Degree from Accredited Law School.
- Member in Good Standing, The Florida Bar.
- Portable book of Business or desire to grow book of business is preferred, but not required.
