The Retirement Contribution Administrator is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely contribution processing. This position will be responsible for working with clients to transition them onto the data integrity system, ensuring the system is set up to meet the client’s needs and then continuing to provide ongoing support to the client. This individual will be expected to work with our onboarding and service teams along with our recordkeeper partners to troubleshoot errors, warnings, or history of contributions submitted in our data integrity system. This position will be evaluated on the ability to meet superior service goals as defined by management.

Section 2: Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Timely and accurate processing of assigned contributions.
  • Completely understanding the individual client contribution requirements and turnaround time.
  • Demonstrate a detailed knowledge of retirement plans as well as the FuturePlan business, products, systems and processes.
  • Reconcile the file received to what is loaded to the recordkeeper ensuring everything is balanced.
  • Support incoming clients & internal associates’ emails and calls regarding contribution questions with a quick and accurate response.
  • Provide thorough, high-quality research, problem solving and issue resolution.
  • Perform other activities related to the contribution process including audit or error reviews.
  • Collaborate with internal and external departments in aligning and implementing a sophisticated contribution experience.
  • Maintain knowledge of the system, documenting and updating procedures.
  • Communicate significant issues and exceptions to an appropriate higher level of authority within the organization in a timely manner.
  • Other duties assigned by management.
  • Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients.

Section 3: Experience, Skills, Knowledge Requirements

  • Associate degree or relative work experience
  • Minimum 2 years recordkeeping experience
  • Knowledge of retirement plan regulations (preferred)
  • Knowledge of tax deposit and filing requirements (preferred)
  • Understanding of in-house and third-party payroll service delivery models (preferred)
  • Prior payroll implementation experience (preferred)
  • Experience with Salesforce (preferred)
  • Strong background in customer service
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to ensure confidentiality of data
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication
  • Team player, willing to help where needed
  • Self-motivated, ability to work independently
  • Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and follow through to resolve any outstanding issues.
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing environment and support of multiple clients
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Proficient in an environment in which businesses processes, tools, etc. are still being defined
  • Ability to work extended hours


The national average salary range for this role is $50-60k in base pay, exclusive of any bonuses and benefits. This base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salary offered will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, performance, and internal pay alignment. We do not anticipate that candidates hired will begin at the top of the range however, from time to time, it may occur on a case-by-case basis. For all virtual remote positions, in order to ensure associates can effectively perform their job duties with no distractions, we require an uninterrupted virtual workspace and there is also an expectation of family care being in place during business hours.
