We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing – Emergency Department to provide leadership and support for all nursing and designated patient care functions within our hospital organization. This role assumes 24/7 responsibility for the Director’s assigned areas and is accountable for ensuring high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, staff competency, and effective resource management.
The Emergency Department is a Level I Trauma Center, handling approximately 27,300 visits per year, with 2 trauma bays and 38 total beds. The ED sees 8 to 15 trauma cases per day, providing a dynamic and challenging environment for nursing leadership.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate degree from an accredited nursing school, with a Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field or BSN.
- Minimum of 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a manager, full-time charge nurse, or related position.
- Current nursing license in the state of practice.
- CPR certification.
