CFO Job Description

Position Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Location: Atlanta, GA

Reports To: Chief Executive Officer

 

Overview

Future Tech Holdings (https://futuretechllc.com, “Future Tech” or the “Company”) is a provider of digital telecommunications solutions that support advanced connectivity (e.g., AIoT, edge computing, real-time analytics). The Company has a longstanding history providing wireless networks to industrial, enterprise and military customers, dating back over 25 years. Future Tech is uniquely positioned in this market, and its end-to-end, client-centric engagement model enables the Company to support its customers through the full life cycle of wireless network needs to include design, engineering, site development, deployment, integration, and day two support services. In addition, the Company’s knowledge base and market experience span a broad set of technological capabilities – private 5G, fixed wireless, microwave, Wi-Fi, public cellular, and fiber networks, allowing it to operate as a partner and trusted advisor to its customers and consistently distinguish itself as an industry leader in all aspects of customer network evolution for both private and public network infrastructure projects. Future Tech is well capitalized having recently partnered with Battle Investment Group (https://battleinvestmentgroup.com/), a private equity firm focused on the North American defense, government, aerospace, telecommunications, and critical infrastructure markets, and seeking to grow significantly (organically and through acquisition) over the next several years.

The Company is seeking a highly-motivated individual to join as Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”), reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”). The CFO will lead and develop the finance and accounting organization, including significant integration with operations to ensure optimized systems/processes/reporting, while also supporting strategic planning development and execution, financial planning and analysis, monthly/quarterly/annual reporting, and the analysis and integration of acquisitions and strategic investments.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of responsibilities, including the following:

· Senior Leadership: Contribute as a senior leader on the Company’s executive team to the development and execution of strategic planning efforts, including participation in and substantial contribution to senior management review sessions. Proactively anticipate the needs of the management team and prepare relevant reports, analyses, and recommendations.

· Accounting & Finance: Oversee the sustainment and improvement of accounting and business information systems used to track, report, and control accounting, financial, inventory, timekeeping, payroll, contract, and human resource information.

· Treasury Management: Lead the company’s credit/banking relationships to ensure execution of operational and strategic initiatives.

· Financial Planning & Analysis: Direct the preparation of all forecasts, budgets, business case analyses, financial and business development reports, including but not limited to including, income statements, balance sheets, statement of cash flows, monthly management reports, customer-level reports, backlog and program reports, and meeting materials. Experience in FP&A roles is a plus.

· Contract Pricing: Support pricing activities related to the bid and proposal for new contracts, both enterprise and government contracting, ensuring optimal pricing strategies, accurate rate structures, and other cost considerations are utilized. Experience with indirect cost rate pools and government cost accounting is a plus.

· Program Control: Oversee program control functions related to the Company’s financial performance and continuous improvement on government programs.

· Taxation: Oversee the preparation of tax information required by shareholders and filings required by state and federal agencies.

· Audit and Compliance: Lead audits to include (i) an annual financial audit, (ii) any required by prime contractors, regulatory agencies, or other parties, and (iii) any required by the Internal Revenue Service (“IRS”) or other tax authorities.

· Acquisitions & Strategic Transactions: Participate in the development, execution, and integration of acquisitions, joint ventures, or internal research and development investments. Participate in the evaluation and due diligence of acquisition and joint venture opportunities.

· Business Procedures: Implement policies and procedures that will improve the overall effectiveness, compliance and operation of the organization. Lead monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.

· Team Leadership: Perform all management functions to ensure effective and efficient staff execution, including proper training, determining standards of performance and fostering a cooperative and harmonious working environment conducive to maximizing employee morale and productivity. Conduct performance and salary reviews and establish professional development goals for all staff.

Experience, Knowledge, and Skill Requirements

· Education: Bachelor’s Degree required; Advanced Degree(s), Certified Public Accountant (“CPA”) designation is a plus.

· 15 years of professional financial and accounting experience; financial planning and analysis leadership is a plus.

· Prior experience in the government contracting and telecommunications industries, including relevant experience in the following areas: finance/accounting, controllership, tax, audit, financial planning/ analysis, budgeting, capital planning, contract pricing and program control.

· Prior experience developing compelling business cases for a variety of purposes, including capital expenditures, internal research and development, growth, systems, and acquisitions.

· Successful track record of recruiting and retaining a high-quality, diverse team.

Compensation:

The expected compensation package will be commensurate with the candidate’s background and experience, including a competitive annual salary, cash bonus opportunity, an equity package to reward for value creation, and healthcare, 401(k), and other benefits.
