Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role in Fort Lauderdale, FL, for the position of Associate Corporate Counsel. About the Role
Future Tech Enterprise is seeking a highly motivated and business-oriented Associate Corporate Counsel to join our in-house legal team in Fort Lauderdale. This position is well suited for an early-career attorney who is committed to developing strong capabilities in commercial contracting and gaining exposure to technology-driven transactions within a dynamic organization.
As an integral member of the legal department, you will support revenue-generating operations, evaluate and manage contractual risk, and contribute to the company’s disciplined growth. The role involves close collaboration with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, providing practical legal guidance aligned with business objectives.
This position offers substantial hands-on experience in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, along with structured mentorship from senior legal leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Contracting
· Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including NDAs, vendor agreements, professional services agreements, and related business contracts.
· Support contract intake, review, revision, and execution processes.
· Identify key contractual risk issues and escalate complex matters appropriately.
Technology & Vendor Agreements
· Assist in reviewing SaaS agreements, software licenses, and technology-related contracts.
· Work closely with senior legal leadership to understand risk allocation and commercial terms.
· Develop familiarity with vendor terms and customer-facing obligations.
Business Advisory Support
· Provide practical legal guidance to internal stakeholders in finance, sales, and operations.
· Translate legal concepts into clear and actionable recommendations.
Leadership & Mentorship
· Provide structured support and guidance to our junior attorney.
· Reinforce drafting standards, internal processes, and professional development goals.
· Contribute to building a collaborative and accountable legal function.
Legal Research & Compliance Support
· Conduct research on regulatory developments, including data privacy and corporate governance topics.
· Assist with maintaining internal policies and contract templates.
Required Qualifications
· Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
· Active member in good standing with the Florida Bar.
· 1–3 years of legal experience with exposure to contract drafting or commercial matters.
· Strong written drafting skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to communicate effectively with non-legal teams.
· Organized and capable of managing multiple matters simultaneously.
