Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Developer to lead product development for our key account business. This role will serve as the primary development partner for major retail and private-label customers, managing programs from concept through production readiness.
The ideal candidate possesses strong apparel product development expertise, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple high-volume accounts while maintaining quality, timelines, and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Product Development & Account Ownership
• Lead development for assigned key account programs from concept through production approval
• Partner closely with sales, design, and customers to execute seasonal product strategies
• Manage development calendars and milestone deadlines
• Review and communicate fit, construction, quality, and design comments to vendors
• Coordinate all development submits including lab dips, strike-offs, trims, fit samples, PPS, and TOP samples
• Ensure customer requirements, specifications, and compliance standards are met
Vendor Management
• Communicate directly with overseas factories, mills, and suppliers
• Source fabrics, trims, washes, and construction solutions as needed
• Troubleshoot development, costing, and sourcing challenges
• Maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure responsiveness and execution
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Participate in customer meetings and presentations as needed
• Work closely with design and sales teams to execute customer vision
• Coordinate handoff of approved styles to production teams
• Support seasonal line planning and account growth initiatives
Qualifications
• 5 years of apparel product development experience
• Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, fabrics, trims, and manufacturing
• Experience working with major retailers, private label, or key account programs
• Excellent communication and project management skills
• Experience working with overseas factories
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
Preferred Experience
• Activewear, fashion apparel, or private label experience
• Experience managing large retail account programs
• PLM, ERP, and Excel proficiency
Compensation & Benefits
• $80,000–$90,000 annually (negotiable based on experience)
