What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Application Engineer position at Future Electronics?
About the role
The Field Application Engineer will provide comprehensive technical support for customer circuit design and system development. You will be involved with customer presentations, strategic supplier product introductions, technical sales training for customers, and the regional sales team through lunch and learn seminars, workshops, webcasts, and various other forums. You will work with the Regional Director, Strategic Account Manager (SAM), and Product Marketing to develop and execute successful demand creation programs leading to successful sales growth and customer expansion for Future Electronics and our strategic suppliers within your assigned region.
How you will make an impact
- Provide support as well as early system solution consultation to assigned customers. Provide design guidance, and troubleshooting/debug/issue resolution throughout the customer’s design & development phases.
- Provide training and direction on new technology to sales teams with varying technical knowledge to maximize the team's overall efficiency and ROI for demand creation activity.
- Execute programs to strengthen and leverage our customer and manufacturer relationships. Provide supplier support through market-wide or customer-site seminars and training initiatives, technical sales, and marketing programs.
- Utilize engineering expertise to build and execute a business strategy to adequately promote Future’s supplier products to the proper engineering design customers and achieve accelerated revenue growth.
- Document customer activity through CRM entries
We’re looking for someone with
- BSEE/BS Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineer required; MSEE preferred
- 5-8 years of progressive embedded system design experience in at least two of the following technologies:
8/16 bit microcontroller hardware/firmware design
32-bit/ARM MCU/MPU hardware/firmware design
Analog Signal Chain design
Power conversion design (AC/DC and DC/DC)
