Security Systems Engineer (Contract)
Location: Idaho, USA (Boise as primary hub | Coverage for Twin Falls & Idaho Falls)
Engagement: Full-time Freelance B2B Contract
Duration: Long-term federal project
About the Role
We are supporting a federal project across multiple locations in Idaho and are looking for an experienced Security Systems Engineer to join our team on a full-time freelance B2B contract basis.
The role involves hands-on support, maintenance, and troubleshooting of physical security systems at various sites, with Boise serving as the main hub for engineer coverage and dispatch.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Physical Access Control Systems (PACS)
- Support and maintain CCTV / Video Surveillance Systems
- Manage and support Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS)
- Work with AMAG Symmetry, HID Readers & Controllers, ExacqVision, and Axis Cameras
- Perform low voltage system installation and support
- Conduct network troubleshooting related to security systems
- Provide on-site support and respond to service calls across Idaho locations
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure system reliability and compliance
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Physical Access Control Systems (PACS)
- CCTV / Video Surveillance Systems
- Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS)
- AMAG Symmetry
- HID Readers and Controllers
- ExacqVision
- Axis Cameras
- Low Voltage Systems
- Network Troubleshooting and Support
- Prior experience supporting security systems in commercial, government, or federal environments is highly preferred
- Ability to work independently and travel between sites within Idaho as needed
Engagement Details
- Full-time freelance B2B contract
- Location preference: Candidates currently based in Idaho or nearby states
- Must be available for on-site work and dispatch support
- Candidate must have their own valid working rights / work authorization for the USA. No visa sponsorship or work-permit assistance will be provided.
