What are the responsibilities and job description for the AI Evangelist, US (Part-Time / Contract) position at Future AGI?
AI Evangelist, US
Part-Time / Contract
Future AGI | Remote (US-based: SF, NYC, Seattle) | 4-6 hrs/week
About Future AGI
Future AGI is an AI reliability platform. We cover the full stack: simulation, evaluation, optimization, monitoring, synthetic data generation, and guardrailing. Our OSS launch is imminent and we need someone on the ground in the US who can be our voice in the AI developer community.
The Role
You'll be Future AGI's presence at AI events across San Francisco, New York, and Seattle. This is not a "post on LinkedIn and call it a day" role. You'll be in rooms with engineers, founders, and researchers, having real conversations about AI reliability, evals, observability, and why open-source tooling matters.
What You'll Do
Attend 2-4 AI/ML meetups, hackathons, or developer events per month in SF, NYC, or Seattle
Host or co-host small developer gatherings: demo nights, lightning talks, or informal dinners on Future AGI's behalf.
Represent Future AGI at conference booths, sponsor tables, or community activations
Have real technical conversations with developers about their eval and reliability workflows
Collect developer feedback, pain points, and community signals and relay them to the team.
Share event recaps and highlights on X/Twitter and LinkedIn
Time Commitment
4-6 hours per week, flexible around event schedules. Most activity happens on evenings and weekends.
Who You Are
You fit one of these profiles:
If you're a student: You're in your pre-final or final year of a BS/MS program in CS, AI/ML, or a related field at a US university. You already go to AI meetups because you're genuinely curious, not because someone told you to. You can hold a conversation about LLMs, agents, RAG, evals, and observability without reading from a script.
If you're a working professional: You're an engineer, PM, researcher, or existing DevRel person who's active in the AI community outside of your day job. You attend events on weekends already. You want to be associated with an interesting open-source project and earn extra income doing something you'd probably do anyway.
Either way, you should be:
- Based in or near San Francisco, New York City, or Seattle
- Deeply familiar with the generative AI landscape (LLMs, agents, evals, observability, RAG, guardrails)
- Comfortable walking up to strangers at events and starting conversations about AI tooling
- Opinionated about what's broken in the AI development workflow (evals, testing, monitoring)
Nice to have:
- Active presence on X/Twitter or LinkedIn in the AI/developer space
- Have organized or spoken at a community event before
- Familiar with open-source contribution workflows (GitHub, PRs, community engagement)
What You'll Get
- Monthly stipend (based on activity level)
- All event costs covered: tickets, booth materials, swag
- Direct access to Future AGI's founding team
- Your name on launch and community materials
- Real input into product direction based on the developer feedback you collect
- A path to a full-time US DevRel role as Future AGI grows
