Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Certified Welding Inspector to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all welding processes meet industry standards and specifications. This role is critical in maintaining the integrity of our products and ensuring compliance with quality systems. The Welding Inspector will utilize various precision measuring instruments and inspection techniques to analyze welds and ensure they meet the required quality standards.
Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of welded components using vision inspection systems and precision measuring instruments.
- Evaluate weld quality against established standards, including ISO 9001 and ISO 13485.
- Perform quality assurance checks throughout the production process to identify any defects or deviations.
- Document inspection results, including any non-conformities, and communicate findings to the production team.
- Collaborate with engineering and production staff to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Utilize tools such as calipers for precise measurements and analysis.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and quality control activities.
Skills
- Strong understanding of quality assurance principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using vision inspection systems for weld evaluation.
- Familiarity with quality management systems.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Ability to analyze data effectively to identify trends or issues in welding processes.
- Knowledge of software for measurement analysis is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
