What are the responsibilities and job description for the Superintendent position at Futron Incorporated?
Qualifications and Requirements:
1. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent preferred experience with Federal construction projects.
2. Skills and Abilities:
- This position is involved with determining the logic of how to build the project from start to finish.
- Knowledge of the means and methods of construction as well as coordination of all Futron Field personnel as well as subcontractor and vendors as necessary
- Responsible for the overall project labor budget and job schedule
- Study plans and specifications to plan procedures for construction
- Determine crew size and assembles crew for work self-performed
- Releases material orders for timely delivery to job-site
- Confers with and directs supervisory personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction
- Confer with all parties to resolve complaints and grievances
- Confers with all parties to resolve construction issues and improve construction methods
- Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms with plans and schedule
- Validate and ensure hourly time cards are accurate and complete
- Ensure Job Safety is being maintained
- Produces and distributes detailed Daily Production Reports.
- Prepares, distributes and maintains all applicable permits for the project.
- Develops and updates look ahead schedules and distributes to subcontractors and project team.
- Maintains and updates as-built drawings.
- Coordinates all construction materials testing and maintains documentation of tests.
- Performs and coordinates all safety inspections.
- Promotes job site safety, encourages safe work practices, and rectifies job site hazards immediately.
- Maintains an organized and clean job site, including the construction office.
- Minimizes company exposure and project performance risks.
- Coordinates and supervises all construction activities.
- Maintains positive relationships with customers, sub-contractors, suppliers and other employees.
Compensation:
This is a full-time salaried position. Additional benefits and compensation package is included.
