This newly created position supports increasing project demand and expands our project management capacity across a range of site/civil engineering and land development projects, including multi-family, education, and multi-disciplinary developments. This role is well suited for a licensed civil engineer with strong site design experience who enjoys leading projects from concept through permitting and construction support. The Project Manager will oversee technical design, manage schedules and budgets, mentor staff, and work directly with clients, municipalities, and regulatory agencies to deliver high-quality projects.Key ResponsibilitiesManaging site/civil engineering projects from initial scoping through design, permitting, and construction supportDeveloping project scopes, contracts, schedules, and budgetOverseeing and mentoring engineering staff and coordinating multi-disciplinary teamPreparing and reviewing site designs including layout, grading, utilities, erosion & sediment control, and site detailsDesigning stormwater management systemsCoordinating with municipal staff and attending Town/City Commission meetingsParticipating in field meetings and site visitsAssisting with report preparation and local/state permit applicationsSupporting business development efforts and maintaining strong client relationshipsSkills, Knowledge and ExpertiseBachelor’s degree in civil engineering8 years of relevant site/civil engineering experience with strong site design skillsPrior project management experience including contracts, QA/QC, scheduling, and staff oversightConnecticut Professional Engineer (PE) license preferredExperience with local and state permitting requirementsStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D required; HydroCAD preferredTravel to client sites, and attendance at town and city commission meetingsThis is a hybrid role, offering the best of both worlds—collaborate in-office with a high-performing team and enjoy the flexibility of working remotely part of the week.
