Exterior Cleaning Technician Position Summary
69th street is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Exterior Cleaning Technician to help maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and curb appeal of our gym locations. This position is primarily an outdoor role, with the majority of work performed outside the facility in all seasons and weather conditions.
The Exterior Cleaning Technician plays an important role in creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our members before they even walk through the front door.
Primary ResponsibilitiesExterior Cleaning (Primary Duties)
- Clean parking lots, sidewalks, and walkways.
- Pick up trash and debris around the property.
- Empty and replace exterior trash receptacles.
- Remove weeds from sidewalks, curbs, landscaping, and parking areas.
- Sweep and maintain entrances and outdoor common areas.
- Pressure wash sidewalks, entryways, curbs, and building exteriors as scheduled.
- Remove gum, stains, and debris from sidewalks.
- Assist with snow removal and ice treatment during winter months, when necessary.
- Report any exterior maintenance or safety hazards to management immediately.
General Facility Support
- Assist with light indoor cleaning duties when needed.
- Support special cleaning projects assigned by management.
- Help prepare facilities for special events or inspections.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in good working condition.
Qualifications
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow company safety procedures.
- Previous cleaning or maintenance experience is preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements
This position is physically demanding and requires the ability to:
- Work primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Bend, kneel, squat, climb ladders, and reach overhead.
- Operate cleaning equipment, including pressure washers, blowers, brooms, and other maintenance tools.
Work Environment
- The majority of this position is performed outdoors.
- Employees should be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
- Work may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
