Shift: 3:30PM - 12:00AM
Full Time - On site Monday to Friday
Job Overview:
We are seeking a detailed-oriented and organized Shipping Clerk to join our team; The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of our shipping processes. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for interaction with carrier drivers, performing data entry tasks, filing documents, working with our Warehouse Management System (WMS), and collaborating with other team members to achieve operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate and timely loading of shipments onto carriers’ vehicles.
- Greet and assist carrier drivers picking up freight.
- Communicate effectively with drivers to facilitate a seamless pickup process.
- Perform data entry tasks related to shipping and inventory.
- Work with spreadsheets to record and track shipment details.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of data entered in the system.
- Maintain organized and efficient filing systems for shipping documents.
- Ensure that all necessary shipping records are properly filed for east retrieval.
- Collaborate effectively with other staff members to achieve common goals.
- Coordinate and schedule shipping activities to optimize efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in shipping or logistics role is preferred.
- Proficiency in data entry and spreadsheet management.
- Familiarity with WMS, especially synapse, is a plus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
