Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as necessary.
- Operate airless paint spraying equipment and other painting tools to apply coatings effectively.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to achieve desired results.
- Perform materials handling tasks, including loading and unloading materials for painting projects.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining quality standards.
- Conduct regular maintenance on painting equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow safety protocols and lean manufacturing principles to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Assist in assembly, fabrication, or auto body repair tasks as needed within the facility.
Experience
- Proven experience in industrial painting or construction painting is preferred.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and warehouse operations is advantageous.
- Knowledge of machining, welding, and basic math skills for precise measurements is beneficial.
- Experience operating forklifts and cranes is a plus.
- Ability to work with various materials and understand their properties for effective application.
