Recruiting Assistant

The Recruiting Assistant supports the day-to-day operations of our Recruiting Services team. This role is perfect for someone with strong communication skills, high attention to detail, and the hustle to help transportation companies grow their fleets. You’ll play a critical role in organizing applicant flow, helping candidates through the process, and making sure our recruiters can stay focused on hiring.

Responsibilities

• Assist Account Leaders by managing recruiting inboxes, fielding texts and emails from prospective drivers
• Respond promptly to inbound leads and track each stage of the recruiting process in our CRM or ATS (e.g.,Monday.com, Tenstreet)
• Conduct basic qualification screens and schedule interviews with recruiters
• Maintain driver records and update candidate profiles with notes, documents, and contact attempts
• Support application processing tasks such as ordering MVRs or submitting VOEs when needed
• Coordinate with internal team members to ensure smooth handoffs and communication
• Proactively follow up with drivers who’ve shown interest but haven’t completed an application
• Help manage travel for candidates when needed
• Tackle other recruiting-related admin tasks to help the team hit their weekly and monthly hiring goals

Qualifications

• 1 year of administrative or recruiting support experience (driver recruiting experience is a plus)
• Ability to work in-office in Kansas City a minimum of 2 days per week
• Familiarity with Tenstreet or other ATS platforms strongly preferred
• Fast learner with excellent organizational skills
• Friendly, confident communicator via phone, text, and email
• Able to juggle multiple tasks and stay calm in a fast-paced environment
• Self-starter who takes initiative and follows through
• Sharp attention to detail—you double-check before clicking submit
• Comfortable working independently in a remote setting
• Willingness to grow with the team and take on new challenges
