Travel Registered Dietitian Job Description
Fusion Medical Staffing-Cardio is seeking a skilled Registered Dietitian for a 13-week travel assignment in Michigan City, IN.
- Valid dietitian license in compliance with state regulations.
- One year of recent experience as a registered dietitian.
A registered dietitian provides expert advice on food and nutrition to support patients' health and well-being. They assess dietary needs, develop personalized nutrition plans, and monitor outcomes to manage chronic conditions, address malnutrition, or meet specific health goals.
The responsibilities include instructing patients and patient families on dietary principles, restrictions, and practical strategies to achieve health goals per physician diet order, conducting patient visitations including screening for nutrition concerns relating to malnutrition, tube feeding, TPN, and special diets related to disease, developing personalized nutrition plans and implementing interventions based on knowledge of the patient's current health, monitoring the effectiveness of nutrition plans, adjusting as needed to improve outcomes, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to include physicians, nurses, and aides, and performing other duties as assigned within the scope of practice for registered dietitians.
Requirements:
- The ability to read, write, & communicate in the English language.
- Physical Abilities: Remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, bending.
- Technical/Motor Skills: Ability to grasp, fine manipulation, pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment.
