Senior Network Engineer – F5 (Hybrid)
Location: Greensboro, NC (Primary) | Also: Charlotte, NC; Fort Wayne, IN; Omaha, NE; Radnor, PA
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days/week onsite
Role Summary
Client is seeking a hands-on Senior Network Engineer to support and scale our enterprise network infrastructure with a strong focus on F5 LTM/GTM technologies. You’ll serve as a subject matter expert, contributing to operations, deployment, troubleshooting, and future design enhancements. This role also supports broader network technologies across LAN/WAN, data centers, security, VPN, and load balancing.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and provide expert support for F5 BigIP (LTM/GTM) physical and virtual environments
- Configure VIPs, deploy iRules, and guide application teams
- Support and deploy Netscaler load balancers
- Troubleshoot complex network issues across LAN/WAN, data center, and security areas
- Create and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and MOP/SOPs
- Partner with Architecture and Engineering teams on future network designs
Must-Have Qualifications
- Strong engineering/operations experience with F5 BigIP/BigIQ
- Enterprise-level experience with Cisco routing, switching, firewalls, ISE
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN design and enterprise network operations
- Proficiency with Visio and Microsoft Office
- Bachelor’s degree or 5–7 years equivalent network engineering experience
Nice-to-Haves
- SD-WAN & next-gen firewall experience
- F5 certifications (F5-CA, F5-CTS, F5-CSE)
- Cisco CCIE or CCNP
- Palo Alto PCNSE
- Infoblox CDAT
