Learning & Development Specialist
Santa Clara, CA(Onsite)
6am to 2:30pm PST
Monday to Friday
- Facilitate instructor-led training programs, workshops, and practical learning sessions for manufacturing personnel.
- Design, develop, and maintain training materials, presentations, SOP-based learning content, job aids, and training curricula.
- Execute and coordinate training plans for assigned manufacturing areas aligned with business goals and operational objectives.
- Conduct New Hire Orientation and support onboarding programs to ensure employee readiness and compliance.
- Assess employee competency and qualification levels for manufacturing processes, equipment, and specialized machinery.
- Partner with supervisors and managers to identify training gaps, skill development needs, and workforce readiness requirements.
- Maintain training records, training matrices, qualification logs, certifications, and compliance documentation.
- Ensure employees are trained and qualified according to applicable procedures, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor training effectiveness and recommend improvements to enhance employee proficiency and operational performance.
- Support implementation of new equipment, manufacturing processes, and operational changes through training development and delivery.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Operations teams to support training and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Attend production meetings and stay current on process changes impacting training requirements.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, OSHA, and company Quality Management System requirements.
- Generate training reports, analyze training metrics, and support audit readiness activities.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, continuous learning, and employee development while supporting manufacturing excellence.
Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Industrial Engineering, Education, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- 2 years of experience in Learning & Development, Training, Manufacturing Operations, or a related field.
- Experience in manufacturing, medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated environments preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), ComplianceWire, Agile PLM, or similar systems.
- Strong facilitation, presentation, instructional design, and content development skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
