Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced HSE Leader to provide interim leadership at a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. The role focuses on environmental compliance, wastewater treatment implementation, HSE team leadership, and strengthening environmental programs in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the HSE team while maintaining site safety and environmental compliance activities.
- Assess environmental programs, identify compliance gaps, and implement improvements.
- Support wastewater treatment system implementation, startup, and operational readiness.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to wastewater, waste management, permits, and reporting.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Facilities, Manufacturing, Quality, and site leadership on HSE initiatives.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities.
- Support environmental audits, regulatory inspections, and compliance assessments.
- Strengthen environmental programs and maintain a strong safety culture.
Required Skills:
- Significant HSE leadership experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated manufacturing.
- Strong environmental compliance and program implementation experience.
- Experience with wastewater treatment systems or wastewater compliance.
- Previous experience as an HSE Manager, Senior HSE Manager, Associate Director, or Director.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Pharmaceutical sterile or aseptic manufacturing experience.
- Experience bringing wastewater treatment systems online.
- Experience transitioning facilities from R&D to commercial manufacturing.
- Interim leadership or consulting experience.
