Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly with genuine enthusiasm and a friendly demeanor to make them feel welcomed and valued
- Manage reservations, walk-in seating, and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Coordinate with the restaurant team to ensure timely seating and smooth flow of guests throughout their visit
- Answer guest inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and clear communication, providing accurate information about services and wait times
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the host stand, ensuring a professional appearance at all times
- Assist with guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously to enhance overall satisfaction
- Support team members during busy periods by helping with guest services or light hospitality duties as needed
Skills
- Proven experience as a Host or Host in food service or restaurant environments
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including phone etiquette
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for managing reservations and guest check-ins
- Knowledge of hospitality standards, guest services, and restaurant operations
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a friendly attitude
- Previous hotel or guest services experience is a plus but not required
