Job Description: Supply Chain Analyst
Role Overview
We are looking for a data-driven Supply Chain Analyst to join our operations team in San Jose. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing our end-to-end supply chain processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs. You will act as a bridge between procurement, logistics, and finance, using data to forecast demand and optimize inventory levels in a fast-paced market.
The ideal candidate has a sharp analytical mind, a strong grasp of logistics workflows, and the ability to turn complex data sets into actionable business insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Analysis & Forecasting: Collect and analyze supply chain data to identify performance bottlenecks and predict future requirements using statistical models.
- Inventory Optimization: Monitor inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing carrying costs and excess stock.
- Vendor Management: Evaluate vendor performance (KPIs) regarding lead times, quality, and cost-efficiency to support procurement decisions.
- Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with 3PL providers and internal logistics teams to streamline shipping routes and distribution schedules.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for automation and digital transformation within the supply chain to improve accuracy and speed.
- Reporting: Create and maintain dashboards (Tableau/Power BI) to communicate supply chain health to executive leadership.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 3 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or business analytics.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in Excel (Advanced formulas, Pivot Tables, VBA) and experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics).
- Analytical Tools: Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Problem Solving: Proven ability to troubleshoot supply chain disruptions and implement long-term solutions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to negotiate with suppliers and present findings to stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) is a plus.
- Experience with Python or R for advanced supply chain modeling.
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles.
