Position Summary
Mix and prepare batches of paste, manufactured with both brazing and soldering alloys. Perform all necessary tests to assure the finished product will meet all quality specifications.

1st Shift Only - 6:30am to 2:30pm
40 hours per week.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Verify cleanliness of required equipment before starting
- Gather pots, beaters, carts, utensils, bases, powders and other ingredients as prescribed
- Do all mathematical conversions necessary to properly record tare and material weights on various types of scales
- Verify all weights with 2 nd party weight check procedure
- Perform viscosity tests at appropriate temperatures and record all results
- Prepare batches of paste for the paste adjuster
- Exercise care during process to avoid contamination, cover pots with plastic between processes
- Interact with our computer operating system to attain information and accurately issue materials to each shop order
- Calculate quantity conversions based on material and proportion variances of customer order if required
- Package finished product into drums and/or other packaging containers when required
- Clean/maintain production equipment and work area to an excellent level
- Commit to following the Quality Policy established procedures and guidelines as required by the current ISO 9001 standards. Seek opportunities for continuous process improvement as a commitment to the Quality Policy
- Adhere to prescribed safety rules and regulations
- Maintain organization and cleanliness in work areas
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong math and conversion skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects both manually and with basic material handling equipment
- Able to read and understand written instruction
- Maintain accurate, legible paperwork
- Basic computer skills involving Windows operating systems and Microsoft office programs
- Must be able to wear air purifying respirator as required
