Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, deployment, and support of software and hardware solutions, including advanced RFID integrations.
- Provide hands-on installation and configuration of large scale applications on bare metal systems.
- Act as a technical escalation point for system-level troubleshooting and support, resolving issues across hardware, OS, and application layers.
- Analyze and optimize system performance through advanced diagnostics, root cause analysis, and remediation strategies.
- Oversee implementation of upgrades, migrations, and preventive maintenance protocols on Linux-based environments.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to improve hardware/software integrations and overall system reliability.
- Support hardware setup and troubleshooting (servers, workstations, networking equipment, cabling).
- Document installation procedures, support steps, and contribute to standard operating procedures and audits.
- Serve as a mentor to junior engineers and assist in onboarding and training.
- Ensure compliance with internal security protocols, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
- Provide field support during installations and upgrades, both domestically and internationally (30% travel).
- Contribute to strategic planning initiatives to evolve and scale the systems support function.
- Maintain compliance with local employment laws, regulations, and recommended best practices.
Required Skills:
- 7 years in systems engineering, IT support, or technical operations roles.
- Advanced experience with Linux-based systems, network architecture, and hardware diagnostics.
- Proficiency in PostgreSQL, scripting (Bash/Python), and VMWare/Windows Server environments.
- Proven experience with RFID technology or similar hardware-integrated software solutions is a plus.
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Ability to work independently on complex projects and lead initiatives across departments
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a technical field
